Summertime at Streamside
We’ve got three great shows coming up at Streamside to get us to the summer break. First, on June 5, Rob Schwimmer an amazing A List pianist, thereminist, continuum player and composer from NYC. Then on June 23 Gail Schroeder brings her early baroque ensemble for an afternoon of Henry Purcell and others. Finally, we welcome back Grammy winning pianist Peter Kater for two dates on 18-19 July. We’ve also got some amazing things coming in the fall, and will hopefully announce dates soon.
Richard Smith, March 1
Richard is a Streamside favorite, and he’s back on March 1. If you like fingerstyle guitar, he’s one of the best. Check out this video.
Up Jumped Three – Feb 3

The original compositions & playing of Up Jumped Three are a collection of varied influences – West Coast jazz, free jazz, & modern/avant-garde. With no drummer, the trio format opens up, allowing the timbre & unique character of each instrument to shine through in an almost ‘chamber music’ type of atmosphere. Up Jumped Three continues to carve out its own space on the AVL jazz scene. Check out some tunes here: https://upjumpedthree.bandcamp.com

SCOTT AINSLIE SHOW IS ON!
Good morning concertgoers,
You are receiving this message because you have RSVP’d for today’s concert at Streamside with Scott Ainslie at our home at 3pm. The roads DID NOT ice over here, so THE SHOW IS ON. Southern Henderson County appears to have gotten the worse of it but DOT says even there the roads are in pretty good shape already at 7am.
A few things to note for today:
*Doors open at 2pm. Music at 3.
*Suggested donation is $20 for Scott. 100% goes to support him.
*If you cannot come, please log in to Eventbrite and cancel your ticket. The show is full, so this would give any last minute concertgoers a chance to come. To cancel your RSVP, just log in to Eventbrite, Go to the Tickets page, and locate your order. Click your order to view order details, and then select “Cancel Order” to cancel your registration. We’ll send you and the event organizer an email confirming the cancellation.
*We can now accept credit cards if you do not have cash.
*Our designated charity today is Liberty Corner Enterprises. They work with disabled adults and reps will be serving refreshments (Beer, wine, snacks) for donations and talking about their work. Please support them!
*There is limited parking in front of our home. Street parking is permitted, as well as a few slots on the cobblestone pull in past our house at 737 Streamside.
*If you park on the street it is an easier walk if you take the gravel driveway by our 721 Mailbox.
*See you this afternoon!

Weather Outlook GOOD for Scott Ainslie on Sunday
We’ve been closely watching the approaching weather system, which has been quite difficult for forecasters to predict, in part due to temperatures expected to be hovering near the freezing point when the precipitation reaches us. But now the forecasters are more confident, and it looks like it’s going to be a fairly minor event. There may be some freezing rain Saturday night, but by the time folks head over to hear Scott, the roads should be in good condition, as temps will climb to about 40 during the day. We will give you an update on Sunday.
